ISTE National Educational Technology Standards (NETS-T) and Performance Indicators for Teachers

The NETS for Teachers are a collection of guiding standards that teachers should attain to encourage development of student's understanding in an ever expanding world of technology. The guidelines represent benchmarks for teacher skills and understanding of the roles that teachers foster in technology education. The standards were recently updated by the International Society for Technology in Education in 2008. During this time, the standards were clarified to better represent the developing technology. Currently, there are 5 standards each with 4 corresponding performance indicators.
